Grace Farrell is back at school in England and can only dream about the adventures she experienced in Skydalon with her friends Lindi, Liam and Bobo. She knows that there is a portal hidden somewhere in the grounds of St Luke's School, but where? Grace has set her heart on returning to Skydalon to win a place in the finals to represent her tribe; Crystalyte.

When Grace finally finds the Northern Portal, she meets up with Lindi, Liam and Bobo and undergoes rigourous and challenging training for the championships. She must learn to ride dragons, read minds, solve riddles and camouflage herself while trying to dodge the antics of the terrible twins. 

To make matters even more complicated, just before the final challenge takes place, disaster strikes!

Grace is forced to confront her greatest fear to save a friend and avoid falling into the clutches of Nomhoyi and his dark army.
